Tried it once but couldn't get the config right, I guess I can try again.
Microsoft has a similar program called Mouse Without Borders which was simpler to set up, but it was always buggy so I dropped it.
Not very user friendly setup, but once you get it, it works flawlessly

Work setup came standard with 2.

I usually have email on one and what I'm working on on the other.

Is there any way to use a laptop screen as a second screen?

While using the laptop? Of course. As a second screen for a desktop? Probably not.

I use 3 at the office. Desperately need a fourth
How big are each of these screens? I guess that also makes a big difference.

I've never tried this, so I can't vouch for it, but I imagine you'd need to be connected over your network. Try something like this:

+1, +1
Haven't dropped it yet, though. I've pretty much gotten used the its quirks. Funniest is when someone borrows my laptop and I'm on the desktop, and I forget to turn it off. Never fails to freak people out seeing the mouse move around and do stuff by itself :).

OT: Would make for very good purim shtick in a computer class!
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.
