My wife runs a small side business on eBay and she sends a business card in every package without a problem and sometimes people contact her directly to purchase more. It isn't covered by eBays purchase protection but we haven't had any issues. If someone sounds fishy then she just says no

If you send a business card in the package eBay won't know about it.
Just to clarify, you wouldn't put your email address on the packing slip, because that's written thru ebay's website, but a business card, you wouldn't be worried about being reported?

Thank you!

No one is going to report you. Why would they?

Do you think there's a real risk that Ebay will look at my packing slip for email address? It doesn't seem like a real risk to me.

Print your own custom packing slips if you are that paranoid

I'm not paranoid. I was printing the emails on the packing slips until you replied to my original question
There is a risk of an eBay violation.
Then when it came to business cards you said
If you send a business card in the package eBay won't know about it.
I'm trying to figure out why about packing slips you thought there was a risk and not business cards.

When I said risk - I was referring to either having your email in the listing, or via eBay messaging

It depends  on the category you sell it in ie clothing or electronics

Ya, gotta find really good deals to make $$ off of ebay.
If you don't have a store it's 10% off the top to ebay plus 3% of the total sale price to Paypal.
Also don't forget that if you are buying items from a retailer to resell you are likely paying between 6-9% in sales tax depending on different factors.
