This wasn't the exact case that happened to me. I had a case where I shipped a product and changed the address as a request of the buyer.

I lost the dispute even though I shipped it, cuz it wasn't shipped to the confirmed address on the Paypal profile.

Paypal doesnt care about the messages sent,

I called paypal saying it was an e gc and I emailed it. They said they dont cover that

I once had a similar case when selling iTunes gift cards. The Paypal rep told me if I ship it now and provide them with the tracking that would qualify me for guarantee even though I already sent him the number. In my case it was just a few days later. Not sure it will work 2 months later. I would also try buying something on dell.com using the GC number. Maybe it has not been used yet. Possibly you can add it to your dell account without purchase.

I sold a dell eGift card (it was $150) 2 months ago, buyer claims he didn't buy it. Now paypal deducted the funds from me as they don't cover seller protection for items that wasn't shipped.
Anything to do?

Had similar experience in December sold a few gift cards and 2 of them were bought by scammer  2 different eBay accounts same shipping address other suite # didn't realize that until 3 weeks later when the disputes  started check right away as had made copy's of the gc were used1 day b4 dispute called PayPal lost bc u need proof of tracking # to be covered nothing helped even though I said eBay doesn't give tracking 4 regular envelope SO GOOD ADVICE WHEN U SHIP ANYTHING FROM EBAY MAKE SURE U HAVE TRACKING AS THAT WOULD'VE HELPED.

P.S. as this was the first I used the dd huca with PayPal  that they should've had these terms in big letters its was obvious I was scammed I'm gonna post on all blogs and after a few huca supervisor refunded my loss as courtesy.

Why don't you hear all these scammer stories when you sell on Amazon?
Any reason why its limited to eBay?

Its ridicules i called the Dell GC # im waiting on holf for over an hour. Its not worth my time? is there anyone else to call?

On Amazon charge backs are covered by Amazon (not like on eBay that you are using a 3rd party CC processor)

And in order to get get your money released you need to upload tracking.

There are other scams on Amazon like with FBA products returned that are missing parts ect.

Anyone who sells on eBay knows NEVER to ship without tracking. You are lucky they refunded you.

In my opinion the buyer knew I didn't ship it so decided to file a claim and got a refund. Why would he wake up now when It was 2 months ago, further after buying it he asked me to leave him positive feedback?

Update: called paypal again they said since i've been with them many yrs. They will take a 50/50 loss so , they'll give me back half..

not there policy though they will try to fight to c.c company the seller still has to defend there case they will withhold the money till the dispute is finalized...

called dell, they only can give me the order # of the person used it, they can't give out any other info. I dont get them.

Worst customer service ever, I got transferred at least 15 times from one dept to other going in circles, really incompetent.

How did you get the Dell GC? If you got purchased on a CC maybe they will cover you. Especially if it was purchased on Amex.
