I don't think anything will change its just a marketing thing

2 separate, publicly traded companies make their own decisions.
They might still work together, but the path PayPal takes will be determined by the new management and big shareholders.

It also makes it much easier should ebay decide to sell off PayPal.

They always had separate managements. However there finances were shared, therefore ebay was dragging the stocks down. This was part of the tec talk for months now, due to the new high competition for easy checkout. Paypal was trying to grow, but too much of it's revenue was being redirected to ebay. They still plan on remaining together, but splitting the finances.

Thus the recent changes in eBay's seller policies. They want to wicker out all the sellers that may scare away buyers, because they need to pick up the general trust in order to raise their own stocks.

Unless they have a unique code for eBay, it won't work...

If you have an eBay store you can close it.
If you don't have a store then either remove your listings or make a handling time of lots of days.

I'm not a posek,  so I can't answer whether or not you can keep your business open on Chol hamoed.

Regarding  items not being sold - you can do what what mark F said - you can pay $20 subscription for an eBay store,  and put your store on vacation mode (I do that every shabbos).

You can also raise the price of your items to crazy prices so no one will buy them.

Recently eBay has changed their rating systems, and became tougher on sellers...

Does anyone know if they will be upset if I end about 15 to 20 listings? (I want to sell them as a single or multiple bulk listings)

So long as they are not sold and you are thus not backing out of a deal you can end them as you wish. Ie if the listing is still up and you want to end it, it will not effect you at all.

NO I would not do that. I canceled a bunch of listings and got my account suspended (my account was new)

You have to call them and tell them why your canceling and then it should be fine.

So I've had an eBay account since 2002 or something crazy like that. I sell stuff randomly but nothing recently. Has eBay gone crazy with the fees or has it been this bad for awhile. Hell I'd rather per pay photo then pay 10% off the top. Maybe it's always been that high but it sure doesn't feel like it.
