Visa Merchant Categorization

When I look up a merchant, there is a column for "ENHANCED DATA LEVEL". Can anyone confirm if this is similar to the way AmEx shows what you bought on the statement? For example, if I buy Visa gift cards at STAPLES 00111682 with my Chase Ink Visa, will Chase be informed what I bought?

I believe the actual card also has to be an LIII card for it to be reported, and not just the terminal is sufficient.
