Unreal.
agree 100%.
3 weeks, Millions of dollars, Millions of searchers, tons of high-tech equipment, and they cannot find any part of:
a plane, luggage, transport items, a communications box or any of the 239 bodies.

Why doesn't the NSA leave us alone for a few days & go find it. If anyone could do it, it's them.

Nope. They attached a parachute and floated it down.

I saw some news stations early on saying "they couldn't have landed at airport/island X because that runway is XXX feet and the manual for the 777 says you need XXY feet to land".

Seriously? Don't you think that whoever would steal a plane wouldn't be terribly concerned for what it says in the manual and would be daring enough to at least attempt a landing (successful or not) on a shorter runway?

If for whatever reason someone wanted to kidnap a plane and land it somewhere, the last thing that would stop him is that maybe the runway is a drop short and he will have a rough landing.
