Yes, practically, if they stop the search it'll get get harder to find as time goes on. Obviously.

Frankly, I don't think the world should have invested the amount of money it already has. Hundreds of millions of dollars GONE, while people hundreds, even thousands, are dying of hunger, and thirst, while still others are homeless, and dying of curable diseases.

Either the airline should pay, or the country responsible for security or the country with citizens on board.

The former couldn't afford it and would probably not be effective, while the latter, assuming a democracy, probably would not approve the money required to find a completely missing plane.

The only positive thing is that if either were required by law to find it, you can bet your last donut they'd pay for the tech required to never lose another plane.

Technically the money is not gone. One mans spend is another's profit.

Not sure if your being sarcastic or not... I was serious, the $$ spent on oil, man power etc. payed various peoples' salaries and probably created new jobs as well.

the surveillance technology is out there. I don't believe for a second that there isn't one country who doesn't know where it is. The US knows everything (there listening right now)
Now the reasons why they aren't divulging info is another questions.

Not true. Doesn't matter how good your agencies might be but there is parts of the world that are not paid attention to or not always under constant surveillance.

I get what your saying. Just its so hard to believe that we have intelligence about everything and (spy on everyone). It just seems odd to me that when the planet becomes so connected that something that goes missing just can't be found.
