This is why I say it's a win for the CC companies. Nothing changes, but they get everyone off their backs for a bit about the fees. "We're empowering the retailers to take control over the fees even though we know it's not worth it for them. But now they can't complain about the higher fees."

It’s a win for the CC companies because they don’t have to lower fees. Though if it actually becomes a thing consumers who value points will suffer, as will some premium CCs.

Meaning it has a 399 out of 400 chance of being validated. Leading to the final paragraph:

meaning this is significant to the entire basis of the Big Bang theory, which from what I understand, is extremely dependent on the specific age of the universe being 13.7 Billion years old.

Is there something I am missing here? Or should this be a way bigger story?

I don’t think that’s final. She challenged BS to “name the time and place” and he did, but then the back and forth negotiating the details started and “Monday 5pm in Nashville” was no longer viable. It’s all on their X accounts, as well as Jeremy Boering’s who entered the conversation when Ben was offline for Shabbat.
