Can't we appreciate that all of us at the end of the day are human beings with personal beliefs and feelings?

It's one thing to not have an issue with the story being posted, its another to not be able to appreciate where non religous, or non Jewish people may have an issue with it and not end the story with warm and fuzzy feelings.

I really don't understand what you guys are going crazy over. The story in no way implies that those who were on the flight were there because they did not keep shabbos! In fact they were not ALLOWED to keep shabbos! This guy kept shabbos which caused him to be saved. Was it a reward? possibly and possibly not. Use it as a way to grow-don't prevent others from growing. Had he stayed to dedicate a center for the poor I would have said the same thing.

FTR, every non-jew who I've spoken to was highly appreciative of this story. The majority (and that means not all) of the haters are non-frum jews
