I don't think one has to even believe in hashgocha protis to appreciate the story. The same way I'd appreciate a story of a man who got saved from some other relgion or while serving another gd in some way and it saved his life.
I'm not sure its so black and white. I can't believe there aren't those who don't even believe in Judiasm at all who don't appreciate the story. Even if in a slightly different way.

Was just talking about the Jews.
Like I told Kol Mevaser, the gentiles are far more receptive than the non-relogious jews.

Ah, got it. The Jews do tend to be their own worst enemy but even just with Jewish people I think you'd find some that don't necessarily believe in HP but can appreciate the story.

If you don't believe in my G-d, then for all intents and purposes the traveler changed his flight for something that didn't mean anything, didn't have any real value. So what is there to appreciate? That he got lucky?
