I go with wraps because my Rav holds you don't have to wash for them.
I wash before I leave to the airport and keep eating till I land. Isn't that how everyone does it?

Even on long haul flights?
Especially on long hauls! I fly in coach, can't sleep. Eating is an activity.

I'm only half joking.

In TLV we had a few large water bottles, we got through security but then when boarding we had another security check. They just told us to throw them out, which we forgot to do ..... So much for not bringing liquids on board :)

My trick is to preemptively dump my carryon on their inspection table. They just wave me through. (This was LY TLV-JFK.)

They didn't let me board with my Orange juice I bought a minute earlier at the store.

I'm wondering what they do with duty-fee liquids.

Not sure in all places, but I've definitely seen it where you don't get the bottles until later on.

In most large airports the duty free store seals it in an electronically sealed bag that as long as not opened can be brought through security w/o an issue.

It WAS duty free, bought it from store at the gate, showed them receipt, didn't budge.
"The Americans will not let the plane depart.."
She explained that because they don't scan for liquids at security, they have to check for it at the gate, and can't make any exceptions.

Years ago I flew Israel to US through Zurich. I bought Duty Free in Israel but as soon as we got to Zurich we had to switch terminals. At security entering the new terminal they confiscated my bottles. I called Capital One and disputed the charge as I said they saw I had a connection and should have warned me, they gave me my money back.

Just flew international to Boston and then switched terminals for a short haul flight, tsa agent told me as long as it's sealed by duty free and within 48 hours with receipt I'd be fine although I still DROTSA
