Best Vacuum Cleaner Suggestions

I need to purchase a decently priced vacuum cleaner (under $200) for an apartment that's mostly ceramic floors but with two carpeted full size bedrooms. Any suggestions would be really appreciated - TIA!

don't know much, but i bought a "numatic" in the uk (make sure to get 110v for north america!) for under 100 pounds (GBP), someone brought it over for me, changed the plug.
the same thing on amazon.com is like 290 USD.
amazon.co.uk is not the cheapest place for 110v

you can choose a 110v

its 82 plus VAT

they only ship to uk (i think) and you will have to change the plug (easy).

in the uk, construction workers have battery powered outlets, that are 110v. they have a big round (yellow) plug
