sunshine and I reported that crediting miles from a past rental did not work to unexpire the expired miles. Can anyone else report recent success or failure?

Update: A few days after the Hertz miles posted to the United account, the expired miles were reinstated.

I got an email from United that my miles will expire in a few months unless there is some activity. The question is, that account has already been merged into another account. Should I just ignore the email?

If anyone has miles which were going to expire on 9/30 2013 and they revived them. The next expiring date is coming up.

I just found out that my mileage of around 35,000 expired 4/1. I never got an email about it. Is it worth the $250 they want to reinstate it?

Can anyone help me out with getting back expired miles with a rental? Mine and my wife's have both expired 4/1/15. If the answer to keemster26 is in the affirmative, then I have a recent budget rental. I have to check if I used it for other mileage. Nevertheless, I'll need at least one rental. Anyone? I've never done this before.

its not expired yet, but will expire soon.
