London Heathrow taxes

Hi,
I want to fly to London in June for a wedding.  I thought that BA would charge high taxes, and I have both United and Delta miles as well, so I checked those websites, but taxes are still $200.  Is this typical? I don't remember taxes being so high to fly to London on a US based airline.

Yup. Seems to be normal as London charges a boat load to fly out of. Good luck

London hates tourists.
You can save money by flying to the US via another European city.

The issue is leaving the UK not entering.. use a short haul BA flight as Dan mentioned
