So I installed an applock on a friends ($10) Moto E and while testing it, I noticed that if you tap the recent apps button there's a google search bar above the "cards". So I tapped on it thinking it would be blocked since the google app (including google now and voice search) is blocked. When you have an app open and then you open another app (eg. from the notification shade), it moves the currently open app aside and takes over the screen. Regardless of the cause, this bug needs to be worked out as it allows the user to access the full google search experience including images etc.

Did you blacklist apps or whitelist?

Blacklist. The app that I'm using doesn't really have any other way of doing it. It's just a list of all installed apps, and you select which ones to block and which to allow.

The applock i used had a whitelist function, iirc.

Is there any way to block all internet access from a device ($10 Moto E, Android 5.1) without root?

I'd like to easily re-enable it temporarily when I need to install apps for the kids etc.

btw as of now there is no root for this phone.
TAG uses now Livigent Lite to Block all internet traffic

Sorry if this has already been discussed: Is there a way to filter an android (galaxy s3), which will allow the youtube app but filter it? I tried livigent lite, but the tech was unable to get the app working on the phone it kept asking for some kind of password and he couldnt figure out how to do it.

yes I am.
and no one is gonna disagree that any free applock/filter can be removed easily.

There are ways, yes. It includes a bit of work though, and some phones are harder than others.

There isn't one link that I know of, since I combined a few techniques that I learnt to totally kasher an android phone. What specifically are you looking for?
