I have Netfree, they allow some videos that are individually checked but those are hard to find. I noticed that many of the videos embedded on DDF are on their allowed list. So if anyone wants to give me links to embedded videos here it would be appreciated! NOTE The Just Shmooze section is blocked by them. TYVM

every video on YouTube on ddf... Or every Youtube video on ddf?..
Like it doesnt allow you to go to the next video or anything like that, correct?

Any I guess. The more the better! As long as it's not in the Just Shmooze section and it can't have women or girls over the age of six.

I’m wondering if anyone can assist me. I have an iPhone that is whitelisted. I was always able to use the Amazon app fine until today. In order to do a return with ups drop off, it now requires you to pick a location. That pop up doesn’t show up in my app. Anyone have any idea what website that would be? So I can add it to my white list? (Ups is already allowed in my list, so it clearly isn’t that.)
Did you try turning on location services through settings?
to answer my own question. Under the safari tab in settings, I had pop ups blocked. When I unblocked it I was able to complete the return process. Very interesting because it is in the Amazon app not safari, but I guess it is using safari as the back end browser…

It's about time Techloq fixed the loophole where embedded videos were allowed and would bypass the filter on youtube.
I'm sure you can call them up and request they disable embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos. I use MB Smart from tag and it's just a simple switch.

Got MB smart recently.

Looks like my device is now considered “jailbroken”. Did the instillation of the filter do that?

Anyway to fix this?

I've had MB Smart for close to a year and I never had this problem I use Chase just fine. You can reach out to tag and they would probably disable the filter temporarily to see if it is caused by the filter. However based on your issue I highly doubt just disabling the filter would get rid of the problem even if the problem was caused by the filter your best bet is likely to bring it into tag and have the filter uninstalled and test it to see if the filter is what's causing it. I learned the hard way that the cheap option is the cause of lots of headache. If you can afford it save yourself the hastle and use a better company.

Techloq is the best filter out there, atleast for me.
I was having issues, I didn't reach out for help, and I was frustrated, last night I created a ticket, and they responded with full knowledge of the situation and how to fix it, and now everything works for me.

moral of the story, reach out for help when you need help.
Does the filter allow the use of a VPN? A free VPN? Does it have it's own location changing VPN?

Anyone have experience with MB? Any issues?
Costumer service is not great. Random sites will get rejected. No VPN compatibility. Takes time to update. Need to request each site separately (at least on the white list version) including imbedded frames like payment and captcha fields.

I did reach out to MB and they promptly cleared it up

Can someone check this for me.

Using a Galaxy S23 With Techloq filter.

I'm trying to access the web page it's coming out with gray and black boxes. I'm wondering if it's the Chrome browser that I'm using.

If someone's using a Galaxy and has the same filter if they can please check to see if they get the same thanks.

Techloq allows VPN's you just have to request it. Send them an email and tell them which VPN you want to use. They may have some they don't allow, but when I needed it, it worked out with a free one. If you have a specific one in mind reach out to them before you get it, support@techloq.com.

Regarding if they have there own location changing VPN. I use it in Israel and my PC thinks I am in England. I reached out to them and they told me it goes with there closes server which is in England. When I was in the US it linked to a server in the US and my PC said I am in the US.

Now that is a thorough answer thank you! And you revived my question from the dead  :) Appreciate

In terms of making sure a kid does not circumvent the fliter/restrictions/settings, I have heard from some that apple restrictions are actually a better filter then lets say something like gentech for a smartphone(apple)?

do you think this is accurate?

There are different kind of restrictions that may be better by apple (perhaps due to the software). But in general, the ones made by a filter purposefully made to keep kids (or adults) from hacking the filter will be better.

Apple restrictions used to be amazing and was even what Tag used to use IINM. In recent years there have been some loopholes including the ability to remove the restrictions entirely that were not fixed. If you want you can use Apple restriction in addition to whatever filter you put on.

What is always very important to rember is that this:
making sure a kid does not circumvent the fliter/restrictions/settings
Is not actually possible. No filter is perfect and kids are always one step ahead of you (yes, even your perfect goody goody). Everyone needs to find what works best for them.

My  prizes from CV :)

I have techloq on a laptop and tried using a hotspot from a phone and it did not work. At first I thought it was because of the phone, but it worked with another laptop (not techloq). And then the first laptop worked with a different hotspot. Is it a filter issue, and if so is there any way to fix it?

TIA

Is the phone by chance a T-Mobile phone?

I've seen/heard/read about issues with VPN connections over T-Mobile mobile hotspot, and there are ways around it by modifying the phone APN and the computer IPv6 settings.

yes. They are very funny when it comes to hotspots. The only way to deal with it IME is to open a case with them. Sometimes they may be able to fix remotely (on their end), sometimes they’ll need to hop on teamviewer and do it on your end
