Suggestion: Have someone else have the password (or half and half with a spouse) and do the following:
Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).
[Occasionally an app will have a built in browser/or need to access a certain website - just go back in to settings (with password) and add that website].
There is time restrictions and more features too.
(May not be enough for teenagers - consult your own advisers - this solution sure beats doing nothing and there is no excuse)

Is there an option in the Kindle fires built in parental controls to block/unblock individual apps or is it by category?

Would I be able to block everything besides a few specific games, weather and some other random app?
My Tapatalk notifications don't always work.

Installed webchaver + filter (their filter) and computer seems to be very slow...

Does anyone know of a good basic filter to try in tandem with webchaver (K9 is supposedly not compatible).

What’s the best filter for an android phone. I want most websites blocked aside for a few but I want certain apps too but without the access to websites on their browsers. Like the iPhone built in restrictions. Is there such a thing?

NetSpark definitely does and Gentech should too.

Gentech is much more expensive than NetSpark but most people say it's much better.

Which flip phones can be used on the major carriers without needing a filter (since the phone lacks the functionality a filter would block)?

Are K9s categories and website lists static from as of five years ago, effectively that they're not categorizing or filtering newer websites since they stopped updating K9?

In which country?

This? https://netfree.link/#main

They seem to be like an internet provider thing, not that you can install it on devices and use any service. And they basically service Israel.

Hi,
I'm on Netfree (in Israel) and it's absolutely the winning option. It trumps the other options available in Israel both from a technological and frum standpoint. It's mainly a ISP side technology, but it's also possible to use it worldwide by connecting via there VPN servers. They have VPN servers in a few countries including the US.
They have developed a software that can force all connections through their VPN. It is at the moment the software is Windows only however.
They are a non-profit. The customer support is absolutely amazing. It's the only filter I know of that sends all images for a realtime check by humans!. I have almost never seen an inappropriate picture pass through.
