Suggestion: Have someone else have the password (or half and half with a spouse) and do the following:
Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).
[Occasionally an app will have a built in browser/or need to access a certain website - just go back in to settings (with password) and add that website].
There is time restrictions and more features too.

TaG says Nothing is ever 100% safe, especially with teenagers, but I think they like apple restrictions. I’m pretty sure you can totally block the browser with a password
There are currently 5 ways to reset your Apple ID which removes the restrictions in some cases temporarily until you sign back in 3/5 everyone knows and 4/5 the Gentech filter working with restrictions blocks. Apples restrictions are great but for teenagers today’s day and age.... nothing is safe and when it’s so easy to remove filters/restrictions god forbid what could happen.

Don’t get me on my word about the amount of ways to remove restrictions there could be more didn’t say that not.

Gentech is very good. Best for me at least, having used multiple filters over the past 10-15 years. Not perfect but the best of the bunch. And certainly not cheap!

Meshimer was down Monday created havoc

non related

I know someone that's having issues with unemployment because the filter proxy shows IP out of the USA
and finally DOL Followed up and requested a scan of every page of the passport to prove that he didn't travel OOC

Wow, that's crazy! What does Meshimer use, I think Gentech?? So their servers are all over but they're based out of Romania

Netspark ran me out of TLV for a few months after I came back to America and caused me issues, but eventually changed to NY.
I'm not who you think I am.

Techloq seems to have been having some issues due to the way their infrastructure is set up. They use (or used to use) IBM Cloud and it seems that those IPs were sometimes in the US and sometimes elsewhere (I do not know what's peshat but the fact is that I checked some of their IPs and it showed up in the US and in the Netherlands depending on which site you looked.)

It's interesting that I checked now and it seems that they have switched something around and their current IP isn't showing up as IBM Cloud and it's all in the US. Maybe they listened because of the DoL issues people had.

Just a cool DP regarding Techloq.
If you have Image Filtering on/skin tone filter and download a picture from the web the picture will download with the Image Filter.
Its good like if you want to post Trip Reports ( download Pics lets say taken with a Phone to re upload) and  bad if you want to really see the person face.

With NetFree I haven't been having these issues. You can choose which server to connect to...

I personally don't recommend either of them because like i said they can easily be removed. I recommend using a real filter.

I meant out of the 2 options which one is better where there is already a filter but you want to add skin tone blocking as well
