I still haven't gotten clear if there are people in these internet filter companies that see your browsing history or are the filters running automatically unless a special request is made?
You're asking if they manually process your internet browsing? No. That's not possible.

They teach the system to categorize each website. Based on the category it's assigned and you allowed you will either be allowed to access it or not. Sometimes there are stuff that are miscategorized or you have something blocked that you don't really need/want blocked or the site is dependent on other URLs and services that are blocked. In those cases, someone will look into it to figure it out and assist you, but no one is sitting and going through your history.

On NetFree they do not collect anything and if you need them to open something you need to record it yourself and send it to them using their Internet Traffic Recording tool.
how does it help you? its just more work on your side, if all the traffic goes through their servers then they have the potential to see what you're doing, IMHO their is no benefit of using a manual process of opening sites, if they want they can be nosy if they don't they don't need to be regardless of the approval process,

1)do you put your phone on mute when you call kol mevaser so they shouldn't listen in to what's going on in your house?
2) do you really think kol mevaser has any interest in listening in to what's going on by you?

same is with internet filters they have the potential of manualy looking into what you're doing but with so much traffic they couldn't careless about your browsing history (unless you bump into issues that they need to resolve)

when you submit a request for techloq it runs against a list of site categories, if its not questionable (according to your providers settings) it gets approved on the spot automatically if its questionable they'll make you to reconfirm and sometimes elevate it to your provider

I would not want my filter to collect data about all the places that i visit. I don't think most people would. I want them to collect it only when there is something i need them to check. The process with NetFree does just that. I send them a support request detailing the issue. In it i include an Internet Traffic Recording - i just click start, run the site/software with the issue and click send. It's that easy.

Additionally NetFree works a bit different than the other filter in that they don't just rely on a category (which can sometimes cause problematic blocks or openings due to mixed category content or miscategorization. Instead NetFree checks each thing manually once and then it becomes available for everyone. This means that once one person resolved an issue it will work for everyone while still having an extremely accurate and clean yet very available internet.

I'd recommend it to everyone. I used the other options as well and i still can't understand why they don't adopt a similar path.

Desktop. The pricing depends what you need:
The regular is 30 NIS (appx 8 USD), then they have the Reduced Risk plan where they block news and forums like this one which costs 10 NIS (appx 3 USD). Limited is 7 NIS (appx 2 USD). Gmail Only is 4 NIS (appx 1.20 USD)

It does use VPN.

Actually, I was wondering about that.
Usually an unblock request to Techloq is answered in 30 seconds.
Recently I had a few that took 5 minutes!
Why would that be?

Anyone using Nativ?

For the last ~year the internet tends to cut off and I've had to frequently reset the filter or reboot the computer.

Anyone else have this problem?

What's keeps filters on pcs from being tampered with/circumvented?
Meaning, is it even possible to have such a thing on a pc?

Also, are there any pc filters that do at least monitoring, pretty tamperproof, and free?
Qustodio seems like it would do this, no? Any suggestions?

Why is it different than a phone? As I understand the software gets access to lock the network connection if its uninstalled

I compiled a list of thousands of apps, if they have backdoor access to internet, and how/if that can be stopped. I am thinking of making a business out of it, so I don't really want to share the list, and definitely not publicly. But I have no problem helping a fellow Jew out. As to your questions - factory reset itself doesn't take long, but it wipes all data on phone. Waze - has some known loopholes, which can be blocked if you have rooted phone. Email app- depends on what model your phone is, the stock email app varies by phone model, and some are good and some aren't. Mapmywalk- I'll have to check out our, as I didn't test it yet. Banking- also varies by bank. Capitalone is one that is OK, and other banks- some do and some don't. Hope this helps, feel free to ask more.

how is business?

Im looking into using a router as my filter, it appears that many of them offer their own parental controls, which allow for whitelisting, which suits my needs since i only need very limited access, (for more specific filtering it wouldnt necessarily be good enough) . Is there anything i should be aware of when purchasing a router and if this is a safe method?
