If you can find it, it'd be good to know. It's probably an Android-based system (like Amazon Fire) or Android Go (limited edition Android for low-powered devices) etc.

So going back to the original Q. OnePlus 9 is a normal good Android phone and can be filtered.

Interesting to know, can it be explained in simple terms why can't the Amazon fire can't be filtered ?

Sure, Amazon FireOS is based on Android but stripped and restricted a lot of basic Android things (so that it's less load on those low-end devices and so that no one can easily un-Amazon it from their ads and self-promotion.) So apps (like filters) which rely on Android OS deep level controls can have difficulties doing it on FireOS.

Similar to above, but I already typed up this whole thing:

I dont know for a fact, but when you design a filter for standard android, it doesnt always work for android that is customized. There are some differences that in th OS that could be loopholes. Of course, if someone was interested they could make a filter specifically customized to that the device, but I would assume its not worth the work/price.

Also, Amazon devices have "special offers" (ads) that may be inappropriate. The only way for a filter to deal with that would be totally disabling it, which may have some legal ramifications that I don't think anyone wants to deal with.

And now a question: Do filters remove ads from other apps? Does anyone know. Does waze still have ads even with a good filter? (I know they arent inappropriate, just curious what they do)

They do. I haven't tested on many apps and filters. The case i know about is with a filter that wouldnt be looked at as especially tight.

I wonder... Because many times the real filters get their apps signed by manufacturers and stuff. Do you think they are okay with that? I would be surprised. then again, I am unsure of the exact details of who gets what signed...

you could always reinstall windows on the computer.

go to the microsoft website or do a google search for download windows 10 and follow the instructions. make sure to back up any data before you do it.

You can easily avoid Amazon ads by using fire toolbox, you also use kiosk apps to lock it down to certain apps

Depends the fire 5 and 7 can be rooted and put on your own rom

I currently have netfree and I am not happy, too many times I need to request for websites to be allowed, and lots of websites take time to load or just thinking I'm a robot, also shopping is a big pain as all pictures takes years to load and most pics don't load at all even clean ones... what is my next best option?

Also I just mistakenly discovered that there’s an extremely easy workaround with netfree making it utterly useless…
