Suggestion: Have someone else have the password (or half and half with a spouse) and do the following:
Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).

There is time restrictions and more features too.

Yah, not much help. I have lots to vent about filters in general.  Each company has its pros and cons. Have yet to find a decent filter. Tried quite a few. From Purifeye, Netspark, gentech and now techloq.

Maybe I can get some help here. I have an early 2015 MacBook Air, that was just updated to iOS 11 software. I took it to TAG, but they told me they can’t put the MB Smart software on there, any recommendations?

You mean macOS?

MB Smart is for phones/tablets AFAIK, not for laptops like yours is.

What did TAG recommend?

I don't think there are too many Yiddishe options for macOS. IINM it's only Gentech or (the more stricter standards) Geder.

Techloq is now blocking any link I take from Google Flights to the actual flight purchase page, and even though I can get approval, the link breaks and you get an error page. Is anyone else having this issue?

Seems to be working for me though I think they recently blocked Google Shopping (maybe due to some new AI features?)

I can't say for sure, it may depend on specific filter configurations, but Chrome extensions install just fine for me with Techloq.
