Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).
[Occasionally an app will have a built in browser/or need to access a certain website - just go back in to settings (with password) and add that website].

Internet Filters

4.  Netnanny - www.netnanny.com -My personal favorite internet filter which provides a ton of customizable features, my favorite of which being that you can have different account logins within the same computer so that each one can have its own customized internet filtering settings.  Also Netnanny allows remote access so that if you install it on your computer and a friend has the password, and a site that is OK gets blocked for some reason, you can send a request to them to unblock it and they can do that remotely.  Netnanny also gives the ability to send emails whenever an attempt to go to a blocked site is made, to prevent someone from constantly "trying to test the limits" to find something that is not blocked.  Netnanny does charge a $39.99 per year for one computer license or $59.98 for 3 computers, which in my opinion is a VERY reasonable price to pay to protect yourself and your family from the dangers of the internet (This is the filter that I personally use on my computer)

Feel free to post your thoughts!
I installed Net Nanny tail and did not like it so I uninstalled it, then after that Chrome and ie dont work (cant connect to internet) but ffirefox does. can there be any connection? or maybe a tot diff prob?? thanks...

It's actually an important question. In a month many of you may understand why.

I am, now I could continue sending my kids to Satmar school without being threatened to be kicked out because I cannot survive with the Meshimer filter. I could now disable Meshimer filter when ever I need.

Great. Every first generation filter will have vulnerabilities, just like K9 up to a few months ago was easily removed by stopping one or 2 services. K9 fixed that vulnerability and I'm sure so will VCF.
The interesting question is - were you anti K9 when it was very easy to remove or do you just have an ax to grind with this filter because it annoyed you back in your B&H days.
You don't have to respond just be honest with yourself...

They didn't jeopardize my kids upbringing or school with K9 they are with Livigent, threatening my kids for not having Livigent will not be tolerated.

That's an issue you have to take up with your school. I assume you don't like optical stores either because your school threatens you with what type of glasses your kids can wear??

Your you asked me a question for me to be honest with myself, so I answered we don't have to discuss every issue I have let's keep focused.

The bottom line being able to remove a product with a simple command is a joke especially when your claims are it's more difficult removing it as the current K9.

It's like your asking me now why wasn't the Internet a joke 20 years ago, the fact is today the Internet is a reality and K9 is a reality, if you have a new product you have to keep up with the new current standards.
