@chaimfried
Your whole point is that software filters are not adequate and people need to install hardware filters as well. Now, a hardware filter without a software filter is not adequate either because the device can connect to an unfiltered internet source at a different location. So please explain to me how you can go ahead and publish ways to bypass software filters if software filters are clearly necessary as part of internet safety. If you say "blah blah blah" to this question, you clearly do not care at all about protecting people from the internet and all your brain can focus on is your agenda against livigent etc.

You keep repeating the same thing over and over and it still doesn't make sense. You're spearheading a campaign of accountability while you go and do the most unaccountable and irresponsible thing. There's no question in anyone's mind that you have an agenda to try to destroy VCF. Even when they tell you they're working on or have already repaired this vulnerability you still try to continue your personal agenda against them all in the name of "accountability". I'm sure Chaimfried can bypass K9 filter pretty fast as well, but you wouldn't try to release the workaround for that because you have a blatant agenda.

Chaimfried on the other hand has a completely different opinion. His view is that any software filter isn't really filtering, therefore k9 or vcf are equally unfiltered.

The problem with both of your theories is you're blinded by your agendas. You fail to recognize that for most people software filter is all the will or can get and this is their entire protection. Obviously it isn't 100% or even 80% effective, but its 100% more they had before and for most people it accomplishes everything they need. There's no excuse to destroy that 80% for the sake of the 20% that either have the tech knowledge to bypass any filter or have the need to bypass any filter. for them, software or hardware are equally useless anyway!

Stop claiming I have an agenda. I have no agenda at all against any one gilter other than educating that a software filter is useless for (un)filtered Internet.

And no there's very few times when a software filter is a solution for an unfiltered internet - one exception is where one works in an environment where the boss won't spend money on filtering - that said as part of that education agenda I'm willing to publish how to bypass a software filter and that's to prove that your internet is unfiltered since ppl have a hard time understanding it.

Take Baruch as an example, in his own words its good for him because he doesn't know how to bypass it. Once he knows how to bypass it. He knows he is not filtered. But he won't know that until he knows how to bypass it. We ALL know that his Internet is NOT filtered but he has a block in his brain and won't admit it unless how to bypass it is published.

DH Data Recovery and if I have an agenda that fixes the problem, just like Jnet problems are not resolved and will not be Livigent is the same so far nothing was fixed even on new installations.

At least the public will know and stay away from there products for now.

Think. Please.
If you would go to every "Baruch"s house and install a hardware filter and THEN educate them about how useless their software filter is by exposing the bypass, fine, if that makes you feel good. But just to teach them the bypass without making sure they have hardware filter in place is reckless, irresponsible and selfish.
If you did have an agenda, at least there would be some semblance of rationale (albeit utterly wrong and harmful) to your wanting to teach everyone the bypasses. But now that you say you have no agenda and you only care that people should be educated about filters and what works and what doesn't, you come across as totally brainless.

@chaim fried - right now who is more at risk? A person with a hardware filter that can logon to a different wifi hotspot or use a dif device, or a software filter thats 80% filtered unless someone recklessly teaches them how to get around it!
Most people aren't trying to get around the filter, and software filters are perfect for them. hardware filters aren't!

Wow! I am amazed how this thread has evolved from helping people filter their internet, to helping people get around their filter. Want to know how to bypass your filter? No problem! DDF has got a whole thread on it! Is this the type of publicity we want? That two idiots should sit here posting all the holes in filters? I beg for a cleanup of this thread. All those who don't care about others can go to other blogs to post.

Why have we reached so low?

Great idea, so how about instead of telling people software filters are worthless, tell them you need both equally!

My idiocy got you to read, respond and be more educated and now thinking of a hardware software combined solution.

+100 Mods please clean this thread up!  Its not worth one נשמע!  All you need is one bachur/kid who has access to DDF and we can ruin his life.  Yes the ways of getting around filters might seem simple and well know to you, but not to everyone. its just not worth the risk.
PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE
