Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).
[Occasionally an app will have a built in browser/or need to access a certain website - just go back in to settings (with password) and add that website].
There is time restrictions and more features too.

Mentioned here before.
The filtering is worthless.

The only thing that may be useful is the whitelist-only filtering feature.

Mazal Tov, I finally caught up on this thread! I hope I will have time to post here before there is too much for me to read. Very interesting comments here.
ckmk47, IMHO, I think you are in serious trouble and you need someone close to you who you can trust to help you hands on with this high-tech stuff. Ein somchin al hanes and ein apotropus le’arayus so I think that to say that you will daven and hope for the best is dreaming. Maybe you can get the Yeshiva hanhala to help. What yeshiva lets guys bring ipods? That said, do you have any idea if your son reads DDF? Is he laughing at your attempt to get help?

I finally found a solution for Android that doesn't involve using a pos browser it's called Accountable2you it logs everything you do in every app and every browser and it emails a weekly report to whomever you like plus if you do anything it doesn't like it emails your partner.

Thanks for the info, but this won't help you filter, just monitor.

I started a wiki. Please feel free to add to it and update it. If someone could start a list of the options for the different smartphones it would be great.

You've set up links to the various filters.  That's great!
I would love a blurb near each one with the main uses, pro, cons.  I guess a thumbnail sketch to help us choose one.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

If you wanna add a blurb, here's one:
If you think you are knowledgeable enough to install your own filter, you have zero use of the wiki. And if you aren't knowledgeable enough, the wiki won't ever be able to make you knowledgeable anyways.

I wouldn't say DRAIN but definitely uses a lot.

It's not a an "Android" feature, when 2 of the top Android smartphones have no removable battery, while only one does.

Okaaaaaay and which iphone has a removable battery?

And where do you see iPhone mentioned in my post?

I'm just expressing that people think that any feature any Android phone has is considered an "Android feature". People that don't know better may read his statement and think that every Android phone, especially the top ones, come with these features.

Is there a problem with my correction/clarification?

I understood until now that you aren't one of those Sheeple that would take offense.
