Just upgraded to KitKat, now net nanny crashing, not starting  >:( Anyone?

Same thing with k9 after updating to KitKat. When I try to open the browser it force closes. I uninstalled it and now I'm using x3 watch.

Yes. Annoying blocks and pop ups but would still recommend.

IMHO Apple's restrictions are pretty much pointless because the child (or adult, as it may be) can simply reset the phone/ipod to factory settings and everything is back to normal.

In my case that's not a concern, to much to lose with a factory reset,

Is that the only concern? No loopholes otherwise?

Not if it's backed up. Any smart kid can figure it out easily. Just need a computer with itunes.

I understand the basics are backed up, but there are lots of info not backed up, or am I wrong?

Btw MC, if it's backed up (with the restrictions set in place) and then restored, I understand that the restrictions would be restored as well, am I wrong?

I believe a backup saves mostly everything including messages etc, however your second point is very valid and probably true, I guess the question is whether a backup saves your current settings as well (which would include restrictions)

Also, wouldn't any filter disappear on any device after a factory reset ?

If you're willing to lose all your info (w/o a backup/restore that is), then yes.

My K-9 filter (most recent version installed) interferes with my internet access on my Win 7 desktop. I can't get internet access for about 15 minutes after I start the computer and then it keeps dropping the connection. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?
