That's what I would do. What are you must-dos in CPT, and how long would they take? Each of those should be weighed against an extra day on safari.

Have you looked into LVI flights? Does that help with the schedule any?

Another option is to fly into or out of BBK if you do the day trip to Chobe and keep 2 nights in Kings. There's a direct flight from JNB.

Can even consider rearranging the order to Kings>Shabbos in JNB>Vic+Chobe>CPT or something to that effect. The flight schedules may allow you to squeeze out another half day.

Some lodges have waterholes with lots of wildlife visible from your room. Walking safaris can also be an option at some lodges (of course it doesn't compare to a game drive, but it's a very cool experience).

That being said, most lodges are spread across multiple buildings or tents and will be a real PITA on Shabbos.

And of course there's the option that I would personally choose: Shabbos at Vic. You can walk to the falls from many hotels, you can push in most of the activities on Friday + a few hours on Thu or Sun, and you will possibly gain an entire day for safariing. Easy enough to make your own Shabbos there.

So CPT>VC>Safari or vv. I would definitely suggest you end with the safari, but the flights may work better the other way.

Yup. I've planned a number of itineraries that incorporate that and I find it makes the rest of the trip fit a whole lot better.

And if you have some $10k to spare, you can even do this

You just cost me a new Chabad House and hot food on Shabbos, but I admit this itin does flow better. Though it doesn't really give more time for vic falls activities.

No flights late enough on Mon nite. There's one with a VERY close connection, but it doesn't buy us much. Also there are a few restaurants probably worth trying in JNB that night.

Might be able to connect to CPT on Monday night if we hustle and have a little luck, but the only flight from CPT to VFA/LVI on Thursday is 945am.

They are very centrally located (in the Jewish area of Glenhazel) and their food is nice. Never go there the night after Pesach because you’ll wait hours but most other times are good, plus they serve chalav yisrael.
Nandos Kosher (Savoy)	Meat	+27 11 885-1496 Website	553 Louis Botha Ave, Savoy, Johannesburg, 2090, South Africa - Nandos is a large chain of Portuguese chicken restaurants, but there is only one kosher Nandos in South Africa, so be aware that you can’t step into any of them! They serve top notch chicken but be sure to also try their beef burger (and order extra sauce).
Next Door "Non-CY" (Norwood)	Milk	+27 11 728-2577 Link	80 Grant Ave, Johannesburg, 2192 - Next Door is rated as a top restaurant in Johannesburg, kosher and not, so you know it must be pretty good. It is usually full so booking is highly recommended. While their sushi may not be top class, their pizzas certainly are and, if you’re around in Summer, definitely try their fish braai (barbeque in South African).
Pie Works (Sandringham)		+27 11 485 2447 Website	74 George Ave, Johannesburg, 2192 - Their pies (clearly) are the best kosher pies in the country and are perfect if you want to buy some to take home and reheat. Their burgers are delicious and the have a milk side with pizza that is really good. They’re situated on what is known as the Kosher Strip, so any Jew will be able to direct you.
RTG "Ready to Go" (Norwood)			A fast food place next door to ... Next Door. While they do offer steak and a Chinese menu, the focus is their extensive burger and hot dog menu.
The Deli Store (Sandton)		011-656-3142 / 4915 info@thedelistore.co.za, http://thedelistore.co.za/menus/main-menu/	Shop 52, (opposite Woolworths) Morning Glen Shopping Mall Cnr Bowling & Kelvin Road Gallo Manor - Reviewed in CBS's TR, as having excellent food for very low prices. According to Google is "Permanently Closed".
