KLM/AF Award Booking
« on: March 27, 2014, 01:18:44 PM »
When checking availability YUL-TLV they are giving me YUL-CDG-TLV for the saver award level 25,000 but when I am checking the same flight CDG-TLV separately it's not available for the saver level  ???

Looks like when leg 1 (long haul) is available for saver award, they will give you leg 2 (short haul) for the saver level as well , even though it's not really available. Interesting.

Any other Airlines with this policy?

My issue is, that when I wanna book it as a stopover they wanna charge me for the CDG - TLV route separate the higher price :(

Any workarounds?

Yes, the telephone.

ETA sorry  no promo by phone.

It's not a promo.

And it has nothing to do with the website, you can't even do stopovers on their website. I figured out the problem on the phone.... They claim its available as a married segment but not as a single segment. (and so says the website)
 So now what?

Did anyone try booking the whole trip online as is and then later calling and making the stop in France longer?
Any chance that will work?

Theoretical question:  If I book a KLM flight on Delta metal and miss the flight, should I be speaking to KLM or Delta to rebook the next available flight?

FTFY.

Try both? I would call DL first. Or if you're at the airport, definitely speak to Delta.

So I booked today a reservation TLV-YUL-JFK-TLV for 50k in economy, I gave them my CC info for the taxes and YQ they issued the tickets but I don't say any pending charge on my CC, anybody with this experience? Do I have to be worried that they will void the ticket?

I hear, will wait and see...

Also, I was charged about $270 in taxes and fees, not sure why, online it was showing $134 when I was searching TLV-YUL separate, and the inbound is with DL so there shouldnt be and YQ over there....
