Depends on where you live and where you use it most.. Virgin is sprint, h2o is usually att etc.

If I port my verizon member to a different service will they automatically cancel my whole family plan or just the number which I am porting?

IME with Sprint they'll only cancel the line being ported out.

Just the number you are porting. Are you porting the main number? If yes then maybe check with them.
