Nobody cares if a country is democratic or not.

What matters is stable, peaceful government. The ME is full of countries like that, for example  the UAE and Jordan.

The only reason the US cares about Israel is because of influential Jews in America and Israel's high defense exporting capabilities.

The fact of the matter is that non-democratic countries are inherently LESS stable than their democratic counterparts. See, History of mankind.

I don't doubt that the UAE is currently stable, but to say that Obama only knows of Israel's existence because there are influential Jews in America is to say that Jordan only knows of Nike because  as a kid he needed some sneakers for basketball.
