We use their flour but we are more makpid on some technical details of the things that happen in the bakery. And we use bais rochel for rolling.

Yes and no, if you live in a social stigma type life where not having a status bottle of wine would shame you.. then yes.

So what, people who dont like wine, do not go and buy the most expensive bottle for kidush! I oppose people paying high $ on wines and have worked for years to try to reduce costs

btw royal owns rashi, keser, farbrengen and produces 3$ wines and 100$ wines.. thats fair imho.

Chareidim is the thinnest matza by far, but not very tasty, even their ww, which is a bit better.
Pupa is thicker, but tastes better, its a bit well done/crispy.
Shatzer I never had.

Chareidim thinner than Pupa Tzelem.(thus Chareidim is the Thinnest)
Pupa Tzelem tastier and thinner then Shatzer.

Go with Pupa Tzelem, and Chareidim.

Will you have a chance to taste test them or you hold 30 days before?

Haven't tasted Pupa Tzelem in a while, but my recollection of the last time I did was that it was like paper.

Bottom line IMHO is that for flavor you need Whole Wheat. The real thin matzos won't work well with Whole Wheat, you will get Matzo Meal! Best flavor is spelt, but that is also the most $$$.

As long as it's baked well, and moisture is kept away (I make sure all my matzos are packed in 2lb corrugated boxes, so I don't open one big box and let moisture in to the entire lot) even if not so thin, they can be quite crispy.

Dan, why are you not trying Satmar?

I know a lot OOTrs who only do Satmar.

True it that it is more to the thick side but what I do is I put them in to the oven for 7 minutes and they are crispy as crispy gets and no one minds that its thick.

Even thick matzo, if put in the oven (or for that matter even in the microwave - where it will initially come out soft, but will harden in a few seconds) will come out crispy and better tasting than any paper thin matzo. I think the flavor of Whole Wheat cannot be outdone, and it simply won't work with paper thin matzo.

That being said, I don't let any Matzos into my kitchen, so I don't do the oven thing for Pesach. I would also want to check with a competent LOR if there are no problems with "re-baking" the Matzo.

Got in one year based on recommendations and was quite disappointed.

I can't comment on Satmar as I don't recall ever trying it, but I have tried most of the other ones mentioned here, and despite many negatives I come back to Crown Heights Matzos. They taste the best.
