Chareidim are the thinnest. Paper thin. You can order from the bakery and pick up. Its not far from KRM. No one has thinner matzah. KRM usually stocks them a day or two after Purim. Much cheaper from KRM then from the bakery itself.
How does one order from the bakery?

I got Montreal one year and didn't care for it one bit.

Komemiyut has a great reputation for Kashrus and quality. Where is it sold?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Aronim use wheat from Arizona as opposed to Zalonim

There are many more stamar bakeries Bais Rochel, Monsey....
Let's not open that cam of worms, Arizona has been greatly improved since it started and Zalis don't take anymore from NY as original, they take eslewhere

I have every year both or 3 and the last year or 2 the Zalis I had where zoggy, Aronim Willy is a nes if I get Lechem Mishna for the entire Yom Tov, could be it my luck but had this the last 2 years

KJ comes each box with 2 bags which keeps it more fresh

Another vote for satmar kj. It's thicker but fantastic flavor. I much prefer to shatz which we previously used or pupa which my in laws use

I grew up on Satmar matza, love the thickness. Nowadays I go to my in-laws who have (I believe chareidim) for me it's like eating air/paper. The Satmar ones I can EAT, it's has a taste

Yeah, they have something printed on their boxes about better digestion. Can't comment on that, as I didn't go very far with it. Flavor was definitely inferior to Crown Heights.

IME Crown Heights is #1 for flavor (get Whole Wheat). And probably bottom of the list for customer service.

Also freshness is meaningless, it's the packing that counts. You want your Matza packed in corrugated cardboard boxes, not in plain single layer cardboard boxes. As long as humidity is kept out, it will be nice and crisp. Also IME if you get late in the season (at least in Crown Heights) the matzos tend to be thicker (possibly workers already worn out?)
IINM Chabad minhag is to allow 22.5 or 24 minutes to make matzo. Those who go with 18 would not want them. On the other hand the chazon ish went straight for a few hours.

What I've heard around from reliable sources. I know of a bakery which sends over runs to Chabad for that reason.

22.5 is also the opinion of the GRA.

Any bakery I can bring my kids to that would let them participate in the process?

The Brooklyn schools all take the children to bakeries and get very up close access. Only in a chaburah will they be allowed to participate.

Yes, cleaning sticks. Some will let you carry a matzah from the table to the radler.

I don't know which Chabad bakery you are referring to.

In Crown Heights they definitely time it at 18 minutes from the second the water is poured.

In Kfar Chabad, I believe they used to measure the 18 minutes from the moment the dough was put on the table (except for chaburos). IINM they no longer do that but go 18 minutes from when the water hits.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
