So, ummm, is Ryanair basically like the European Spirit?

I need to from MAN to BRU on 6/23 and their prices are dirt cheap.

To tell you the truth, I never flew Spirit. Perhaps this makes me a terrible son, but my parents like to fly Spirit and they seem to like it.

I started googling around and found out that if you don't pre-print your boarding pass, Ryanair will charge you 70 pounds, not dollars, for them to print it.

Does anyone have real experience with them?

70 Pounds? Seriously?  :o That's probably more than they charge for much of the tickets they sell...

if you want a simple, cheap,  no frills, method of transporting yourself around europe then they are definitely the way to go. Yes, they will nickel and dime you. And no, you will not talk your way out of any fees that they think you owe.
But all you need is a chair to sit in, and you can manage without drinking for a couple hours, and you are not checking luggage, then their prices are hard to complain about

You have to assume. They are out to get you. They are looking for ways to nickel and dime you so don't give them an excuse. Yes they are very strict with the carry on dimensions. The size must comply with what is posted on their website (including wheels). I saw 3-5 people check their backs at the gate and pay the higher fee when I flew CIA to LIN. They will definitely charge you an exorbitant amount if you don't print your boarding pass from home as well. Ryanair is worse than spirit. They advertise during your flight when you are trying to sleep or listen to music.
@Yehuda, Air France is worth the extra money without a doubt.

I never flew with ryanair, but a lot with easyjet and they are very fair and honest
Luggage costs extra, but I rather pay what I need, as have that always included in price.
Drinks and food cost, but it's bechesed
I can only recommend

easyjet is known to be the best of the budget airlines and they are not strict on carry on weight at all, just size

Easyjet has no carry on weight restriction at all. As long as the size is right and you can lift it yourself
On a lot of flights (especially tlv) they want passengers to check them in for free, as they don't have so much space. I always take a really heavy handluggage with me and ask if they want to check it in. Worked until now every time

Also easyjet started selling second and third bag of 23kg for same price as first, so everyone can now buy 3 bags if they want... much cheaper then other airlines in europe

Out of MXP I think everyone has a limit as the security people don't allow large or heavy bags as carry ons

I have a option from VCE -CDG from easy jet or air france the same price on Nov 5 including luggage all the same price should I go for the air france or easy jet is good because the easyjet has a 30 minutes earlier flight that's the upside what's your opinion
