As promised, here is my report.

I flew these guys this morning from Manchester to Brussels.

My general impressions were that a) I did not see them "busting" people for having luggage that was a few inches oversized. I opted to pay a slightly lesser (but still quite steep) charge in advance to check my bags because they were oversized... but then I saw people getting on the plane with bags the same size as mine; b) waiting to check the bags was an extra half hour in line; c) the overhead bin size is rather large, at least on the plane I flew.

Bottom line: next time I would definitely just try to bring my bags on board and risk having to pay the higher fee.
When you flew did you have a suitcase carry on and a backpack or just one item? Their website seems to indicate that you can bring a small bag. My question is how small. Does it need to fit under the seat in front? Are they strict with that?

RYANAIR REGULATIONS ON SPECIFIC SUBJECTS
CABIN BAGGAGE
One cabin bag weighing up to 10 kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 cms may be carried per passenge

What about bags? 1 carry on + 1 personal item like a backpack allowed?

Ryanair also doesn't let you print your boarding pass for free at the airport.

This article just confirms what the website says about two bags. The question in how big can the second bag be. Does a mid size backpack count?

If a bag is too big for EasyJet's requirements will they allow it on with a fee or not allow it on?

Need to know for a flight tomorrow.

sure they would, but paying for luggage at the airport is double the price.
