As someone involved in a Yeshiva I was approached to "invest" in this "opportunity". I immediately contacted one of the "satisfied mosdos" and was told (obviously) stay away.
This is the response I got from the "broker":
Thank you for your concern,
I know who I'm dealing with and I know that there is no intention of foul play. In either case the only way I would let anyone do it is if they pay by CC to enable the fraud protection that the CC offers - in case its necessary.
Besides, we see how yeshivos are actually getting their money back. I dont see how you can lose.
Most of all, I know that because the originator of the deal is someone that is not known to yeshivos, there isnt a single person who put in money without doing their due diligents. We are talking about sharp responsible people who wouldn't risk $10 let alone thousands of dollars without making sure they are protected. I am just taking the info for people so we can get the deal (it has to be ONE group). As nice of guy that I am, I know that people are not throwing vasts money my way because I am nice to people.
I believe that everyone who put in money did it for the same reason I did it, the CC protection. I dont think I came across a safer investment in my life. Did you?
Please, dont trust me. Do your own HW.
