Worth making a post on this crap or does it just legitimize it?
Either way it'll turn into a p$%^ing contest I'm afraid.
I think it would be a humungous mitzvah to help wake ppl up and possibly save some of them.
I agree with closing the comments.

Don't post specific cases. People hear and see what they want to and you'll just be drawing attention to them

I can't even get past what the title should be.  Why do orthodox jews fall prey to stupid scams? Why do people fall prey to stupid scams?
Either way the post will feel pretty non-sequitur.

you don't have to explain the why's and be critical.
Simply explain that "not everything is a good deal" it would fit better on ddms..

And then e/o involved with this case think to themselves that SunGames is perfectly okay, and that they're too smart to get involve in a scam.

If he's afraid of the post being SunGames centric, then post examples of scams to hit the Jewish community in the past, and mention SunGames as an example of being a current scam.

I don't know that it is smart to mention a specific entity. That can lead to problems.

I know of a specific case where the guy got bought into this "scam". When I heard about it he was very scared that his wife would find out,  and it would cause issues.
Maybe that's another reason not to mention the name of the scam!!

Without doing that, no one involved in this scam will have any idea that they're involved in a scam.
He should double check with a lawyer to ensure there's no libel, but once he gets the okay, this could do a lot of good for the community and it would certainly be a meritorious deed (mitzva).

b/c they are naive and think someone else with a orthodox appearance can be trusted, i highly doubt that the numbers of ppl getting scammed would be so high if the company rep/sales rep/scammer were not frum

So how about a mass campaign of writing into the AG and press groups.
Or if anyone has contacts at the local frum papers?

Lawsuit from who?? You dont have to name names, just write that the whole company is a shell with no viable business or plan. (As is obvious from their audited financial statements)
This means that any investment model is based on profiting of others who will lose money. Anyone who convinces you to pump cash into a shell is a scammer. Its that simple.

Why do these MLMs seem to center on Lakewood?
I mean I understand there's a higher percentage of people learning instead of working, but do people in Willi or CH not go for this stuff at the same rate?

this one is definitely not centered in Lakewood. It  has its roots in monsey and its tentacles are much more widespread
