Worth making a post on this crap or does it just legitimize it?Either way it'll turn into a p$%^ing contest I'm afraid.
I think it would be a humungous mitzvah to help wake ppl up and possibly save some of them.I agree with closing the comments.
I can't even get past what the title should be. Why do orthodox jews fall prey to stupid scams? Why do people fall prey to stupid scams?Either way the post will feel pretty non-sequitur.
Deals vs.Scams?
Scamming v getting scammed
having dansdeals associated with it can only do harm. Better to just had very soon post on the topic buy without specific cases
And then e/o involved with this case think to themselves that SunGames is perfectly okay, and that they're too smart to get involve in a scam.If he's afraid of the post being SunGames centric, then post examples of scams to hit the Jewish community in the past, and mention SunGames as an example of being a current scam.
I don't know that it is smart to mention a specific entity. That can lead to problems.
I can't even get past what the title should be. Why do orthodox jews fall prey to stupid scams? Why do people fall prey to stupid scams?
Without doing that, no one involved in this scam will have any idea that they're involved in a scam.He should double check with a lawyer to ensure there's no libel, but once he gets the okay, this could do a lot of good for the community and it would certainly be a meritorious deed (mitzva).
dealing with a meritless lawsuit isn't exactly a walk in the park.
Why do these MLMs seem to center on Lakewood?I mean I understand there's a higher percentage of people learning instead of working, but do people in Willi or CH not go for this stuff at the same rate?
