Ipad question

I am looking into buying an Ipad.  You can buy the Ipad with Applecare+ for an extra $99, which essentially extends the warranty from 1 to 2 years and makes it replaceable within the first two years for any reason. I have a visa sapphire preferred, which I believe, automatically can extend the warranty of a product bought in the US by a year. 

I wanted to get people's opinions on if applecare+ is worthwhile in their experience?  Additionally, is it a waste if I already have some type of protection from the sapphire preferred card?

If you have a Amex, use that. But I don't know if they will refund the whole amount or only up until X amount of dollars. I

But I can tell you having Applecare+ is useful and usually definitely worth it. Its always convenient to just get your iPad fixed or replaced ASAP which is usually the case with apple. Anything I buy from them I usually buy the warranty because they either replace the unit or fix it within a day or two. #my2cents

Thanks for the input, no Amex but it sounds like getting the applecare+ would trump the amex benefits.

I went without any warranty (other than amex) but square trade is usually cheaper and I believe they have a good reputation.

I bought the AppleCare for my iPad. My thinking was that if I don't I would need to buy a case to protect it which are pretty expensive and it ruins the whole feel of the iPad which is supposed to be sleek.

I bought the Smart Case from Apple which doesn't take away from its sleekness and protects the iPad at the same time.
