I have now thw 8830 I had some problems and Verizon sent me the Curve should I make the change or not? If not i can just get a new 8830. I have to make a decision today, any advice would help!

I got the Verizon curve a few weeks ago and love it. Keys are better than the world edition phone

i like my curve i cant see a reason why the 8830 is so big it doesnt have anymore features

E, because nothing screams "I'm a professional!" like having an RIM brick at your side.

Seriously, there have been surveys done that revealed that un-technical people equate business/power and reliability with size when it comes to technology.
The same survey led to the $199 Walmart G-PC, which used components roughly the size of a laptop Motherboard, to be housed in a larger full-sized tower case.
Why the empty case?
"Because Walmart shoppers equate the power of the computer with the size of the box" according to several surveys. Guess what? the computer sold out in 3 days. Google Gpc by everex and walmart for more info.

What does this say about Blackberry users? Well, many of you already know my opinion...

I like my 8830, but I haven't personally used the Curve.

Given the choice, I'd take the Curve since the 8830 is just too big.

Does anyone know how the two compare when it comes to battery life?

So I made the change to the Curve and so far I am very happy. smaller, lighter, camera, and most important I find that the keypad is alot easier to type

there curve battery life is all so much better i can get a day a day and a half with my curve with the world i get a half a day max curve has camera world does not

Slightly OT:

My 8830's charging port just crapped out, I'm royally pissed..

Anyone know if/where I can buy a BB battery charger? Any suggestions?

I should apologize. I went to the Sprint store at 42nd and 3rd and at 10 AM the store was empty. The tech inspected my phone, transferred my address book and handed me a new phone, all within 20 minutes. And, in Manhattan they actually smile
