AMEX Business Platinum Question
« on: April 11, 2014, 12:20:55 PM »
If I have the AMEX Business Platinum card, can I go ahead and apply for the AMEX platinum personal card, or the Mercedes Benz platinum personal card and still receive the sign up bonuses for those? Or would I not be eligible for the sign up bonus because I already got the bonus from the AMEX Business Platinum card.

Thanks,
Dave

Anyone know the answer to this regarding the 50% points back:

"what is the policy regarding a mixed economy ticket with “the chosen airline” and another airline, for example: delta + air France? would i get 50% back on the whole price, half or none?
thanks!"

Also can chosen airline be changed after booking example Delta to Jetblue then book a jetblue flight..back to delta?

you should be able to book it all through "delta"

i just booked a LAX-TLV using points on united even though the return was on lufthansa. since the flight was designated as a united flight it worked.

This flight was codeshared by United maybe that's why.

I'm referring to a mixed ticket ex. Departure Delta, and return Jetblue

Also how long after did the 50% back post?

why not just do the delta flight with BP and the jetblue separately

Since it works with the airline selected for the incidental credit, it probably works the same way. Officially it can only be changed in the beginning of the year, but if you didn't use the credit they usually allow you to change it, sometimes you can get lucky and change it even after its been used

Thanks.  Could do this as well but figured 50% back on both together would be a better option

I was told by Amex that the 50% would come off the chosen airline's charge. Even if it's one ticket on their website each airlines bills separately.

Paying with points comes off as a charge on statement?

Goes into pending as a charge from the airline then posts as a charge and credit from Amex Travel.

Does that give you travel plat cc benefits?

If you have 2 plat cards on 1 points account, you can pick 2 airlines for 50% rebate?
