I am staying in the Atlantis at the end of January with the Diamond free nights and I have the reservation booked for 4 nights, however I am only staying 3 nights with a departing flight on the 4th day at around 6PM. I see on the website that they have something called the Transit Lounge near the Royal which can be used for departing guests and has showers etc. Was wondering if anyone has experience using these and if it is worth not paying the resort fee for the 4th night by cancelling the last day that I am not sleeping there at night.

TIA
The transit lounges are perfect.  Most have showers, special dryers for wet clothing etc. No need to pay resort fee for next day

Just got back from Atlantis some thoughts:

1- Overall beautiful island and the resort is amazing.  +1
2- I was surprised to find that a lot of the employees at the resort are very unhelpful and unfriendly +100 Most Big Hotels have so much staff and with designated jobs they don't know how to help you or aren't train to drop there current job to help you.
3- I stayed in the Corral tower and though the view was great the rooms are pretty crappy +100 All 3 of the original buildings are outdated
4- The water park is perfect since there aren't a ton slides but they are all really good and have something for kids of all ages-check out the crazy river! +1
5- The water at lot of the pools was pretty cold, the kiddie pool was warm but the rest weren't +1
6- All pools and rides close at 5:00PM! Don't understand why- even the one hot tub on the resort closed at 5:00 officially.  +100
7- I went snorkeling with bahamas divers, it was perfect since they take you to one amazing spot and you snorkel for over an hr but the shuttle back to the hotel can take for ever if they drop off cruise tourists downtown so might be worth taking cab back +100 Skip the Atlantis in house Trips and use a outside company
8- Soda cans on the resort are $5! so you probably want to stock up on anything you need at local grocery. +LOL

Hope this is helpful

Does anyone know if the Atlantis supplies a fridge in the room as well as a microwave upon request? If yes, what would the fees be per day?

Stay at the reef and you wouldn't have these issues

Did you find out about microwaves? I would like to know if I should order microwave or oven meals from Pomegranate?

Sorry just saw this. So we went 2 weeks ago and asked all of this to the front desk. They do supply a fridge but they charge I think $45 (maybe that was for 3 days that we were there). I actually got the fee waved because they never told me originally that there would be a fee and when I told them that, they said that they see I was with children so they will wave the fee. As for a microwave, I asked if we could also get a microwave in the room and the answer was a big adamant NO! They mentioned that we can give them the food to warm up but I believe they charge to heat up food for you (their website states exact charge). We brought a burner with pans along and heated up food like that, although if they would have known, they definitely would not have let (based on the reaction I got from asking for a microwave in the room).

FYI if anyone got their rooms from the status match thing, you get something called the casino experience. It basically gives you $100 in free slot play, a free shallow water dolphin encounter ($150 value), 4 cocktails, round of golf, and some sushi in one of their restaurants.

Thank you.

How did you get to the hotel from the airport? uber or a regular taxi?
Also is there any specific grocery on the way that has a decent amount of kosher products or just stop by the first grocery that we pass?

I did taxi but I think there is also some type of shuttle/van that is $15 pp. Dont have any DP about kosher food or grocery.

It looks like they stopped offering the dolphin encounter after jan 30th....
They still give the 100 free slot play....

Interesting. Do you know if its a permanent thing or if it is just maybe not offered during peak season months?
