Those all soud better than Atlantis. Does Atlantis have any pros other than water parks? Seems the nicer towers are all more than Hyatt.
Most recently, I stayed in a suite at the Reef in the Atlantis. Full kitchen, separate bedroom, ocean-front view, and beautiful beach/pools.  If you want/need more space, this is a great solution as you can also have connecting regular room with the suite, giving you 2 bedroom with full kitchen. not sure if the BahaMar has anything comparable to this. If planning to stay in a regular room in royal, coral, etc instead, and were comparing to BahaMar, and arent bringing kids, then I'd do BahaMar

No, but the cove does. I stayed there recently and it's worth the 60k/night. it's fully renovated and gorgeous. The guests at the cove have private pools and a private beach which makes a huge difference. Of course, you can access the water park if you want.
I just checked the dates now and it's mostly available.

Does anyone know if Cove will store/heat kosher? If not, what do people do for food? Bring in toaster oven?

They also offered a free mini-fridge, but I'd be wary to rely on that for food. I suppose a good cooler & a lot of ice could work for a long weekend (and bring a toaster oven in tow).

What did families with young kids do to get between airport and Atlantis?

Going with 2 under 3, but wasn't planning on bringing car seats. Do the taxis accomodate? Is there a reasonably priced shuttle service to Atlantis?

what would be the closest grocery to Atlantis? Is it that one on Mackey Street on the Chabad website or is there something even closer? Not looking for anything unique - just the most basic stuff that any grocer would carry (drinks, packaged bread etc.)

Is the bridge connecting Paradise Island to Nassau walkable? Thinking of going with the kids to the Straw Market area, but again.... lack of car seats.

Lack of car seats was not an issue when I went. They let me hold my children. And the bridge is an extremely tough and far walk. Better off taking a taxi.

Thanks. I had little doubt that they would "let" us hold the kids. Was wondering more for those of us who prefer not to.

One will have her own seat, and one is a lap child.

The one who has their own seat can sit in an FAA approved seat on the plane. For the other one, you can check the carseat.

Don't see why you wouldn't bring given that you know taxis are needed.

We're more comfortable with our older one sitting on a plane in a regular seat than in a dingy taxi. It's just a huge pain to bring 2 extra seats for short rides to/from the airport if we don't have to.

What I was getting at was ARE taxis needed? Or is there some reasonably priced shuttle/bus that can take us? Or alternatively is it easy to source a kid friendly taxi/car service, even if booking in advance so that carseats will be ready.

Taxis are needed. And I dont know why taxis are not ok but shuttles are... its a 20 minute ride from NAS to atlantis. And even less if your going to hyatt.

The impact to a large shuttle would be less severe in a crash than a taxi.

And if taxi drivers in the Bahamas are anything like taxi drivers in most cities (especially on a fixed fare), then I really want everyone to be securely buckled in.

They are actually very safe and drive slowly. It's a vacation destination, no rush hour over there
