I'm pretty sure the pink sand is on Eleuthra Island.

I believe flights are a similar price there from NAS, as well.
+1 went there

Depends on what your looking for. The most common islands for day trips are
1) The Exuma's
2) Abaco
3) Eleuthera

Has anyone stayed at The Atlantis over Shabbos? If yes, then what is the deal with electronics doors, lights, and rooms?

THank you.

I have never stayed in the Cove or Royal Towers but if you are staying in one of the older towers it shouldn't be a bigger problem than any regular hotel. I don't recall any motion sensors or things like that that may be a problem. I did NOT stay over Shabbos though.

Free wifi instead of paying $23 a day. Choice of snacks or drinks. Also a dedicated customer service desk that is much more helpful than the regular front desk.

Stayed there for 2 Shabbosim last winter. We left the key in the door handle and everything was fine. We were in beach tower 5th floor.

Im asking for a relative.  They were interested in staying at royal towers for abt a week including shabbos it seems pretty expensive (about $500 a night).  What would be with one of the cheaper hotels? Are they at least pretty decent  or really not comparable?

Beach tower was very decent, but royal tower is better, and you are right in the center of everything.

The coral tower is half decent and it's a lot more central than the beach tower. Should be fairly cheap as well. There is also a way to get it cheaper. There is a casino promotion to stay four nights free but if you book through the casino you get a cheaper rate even if you don't fill the requirements

Call this number and ask about the casino promotion to stay 4 nights free. It's for the coral tower. 18007529711

Firstly, Verizon has a fairly new plan that I am pretty sure works in the Bahamas (I just used it in Barbados). You pay $10 a day and get to use the same plan in the Bahamas that you have here in the US. Secondly, if you have Marriott and are staying in the Atlantis you should be able to get free wifi.

Have you used it? Do you need to pay anything to join the program?
