Make a stop in SJU. No departure tax because PR is in the Caribbean and no departure tax from SJU to Continental US because it is a US territory.

there are no direct flights between NAS and SJU. Meaning you would need 2 stopovers to make this work

Has anyone stayed at the Atlantis with the four nights from Total rewards status, how was your experience?
Sounds like the beach tower rooms are dated, but what about the low season royal towers? (I know it's "free" nights, but is it worth taking off of work-otherwise I'd rather use the points/ pay for the night in a better hotel)

I've been on the fence now for months. I have until end of January to make the decision too...

I stayed in the beach tower about 4 years ago (was not a total rewards stay). I don't think it looked worse than any standard (non high-end) hotel.

Try to get a window with beach view as opposed to roof view.
