Hi!! Traveling to the Bahamas in a week with a toddler and baby and staying at Atlantis!! Want to know what kosher food  is available? What I can get there and what I need to bring with!! Thank you!
@Dsfeierman Did you go yet? I am doing that same trip with a 4 year old and 16 month old at the end of January and wanted to know how it worked out and what you were able to do. Staying in the royal tower if anyone has suggestions about what good food options to bring along for 2 kids such as burner and pot for macaroni etc. TIA

Going with just the wife (no kids) for a couple days.
Any recommendations on "must do" activities or sites?
What do people do about cell phones?

George Foreman and quick-grilling meats. Bring an extension cord so you can cook by the balcony.

From the Atlantis Website:

Kosher & dietary needs
Atlantis offers dining options that cater to special dietary needs. Guests who require special attention to their diets should provide the Chef’s Office with full details for special requests at least two weeks prior to arrival. On arrival, a culinary executive will arrange the times and locations for requested meals. Meals will be carefully prepared concerning food allergies or dietary restrictions. The Chef’s Office can be reached Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by calling (242) 363-3000, ext. 66540.

Anyone ever did this and knows where the food is coming from?

PUTPAC, you should get a pretty quick answer. Maybe Chabad caters it.

Going second week of January and staying in the corral. Questions:
1- if I can pull it off should I try to get the royal or should I stay in corral since the rooms were recently renovated and they have balconies?
2- is there anyone reason to rent a car, like is there anything worth seeing on the island that’s off the hotels proprties ? How far are the local markets to stock up on food & drinks?
3- does the local grocery stores sell American Ou products like cereal, granola bars etc? Is buying milk or eggs there a problem halachikally ( I know this is a question for your lor, but if anyone asked, or saw something online regarding that, pls share). I know in Costa Rica both of those points weren’t an issue at all but wondering if the same is true in Nassau

probably the same food.   I don't understand why the Chabad in Nassau doesn't offer meals for sale (unless I'm wrong and they do?).

You'll be surprised to find that there is quite a variety of kosher food products in the local grocery stores!

I am staying in the Atlantis at the end of January with the Diamond free nights and I have the reservation booked for 4 nights, however I am only staying 3 nights with a departing flight on the 4th day at around 6PM. I see on the website that they have something called the Transit Lounge near the Royal which can be used for departing guests and has showers etc. Was wondering if anyone has experience using these and if it is worth not paying the resort fee for the 4th night by cancelling the last day that I am not sleeping there at night.

TIA

Just got back from Atlantis some thoughts:

1- Overall beautiful island and the resort is amazing.
2- I was surprised to find that a lot of the employees at the resort are very unhelpful and unfriendly
3- I stayed in the Corral tower and though the view was great the rooms are pretty crappy
4- The water park is perfect since there aren't a ton slides but they are all really good and have something for kids of all ages-check out the crazy river!
5- The water at lot of the pools was pretty cold, the kiddie pool was warm but the rest weren't
6- All pools and rides close at 5:00PM! Don't understand why- even the one hot tub on the resort closed at 5:00 officially.
7- I went snorkeling with bahamas divers, it was perfect since they take you to one amazing spot and you snorkel for over an hr but the shuttle back to the hotel can take for ever if they drop off cruise tourists downtown so might be worth taking cab back
8- Soda cans on the resort are $5! so you probably want to stock up on anything you need at local grocery.

Hope this is helpful
