Anyone know how parking mode works?
mine works that when the car gets a hard knock the dash cam turns on and starts recording.
though the recording starts approx. 5-10 seconds after the the knock but it saved me $1200 when someone hit my car when it was parked and left the seen without leaving details and that man came out checking out what happened to my car i was able to see him on the camera and i knew the man face from shul so i got him to pay for it!!

That must’ve been so awkward.

I mean, how does the camera switch back and forth between parking mode and regular mode?

Not sure what your question is, but this is how it works:
Regular mode
When your turn on your car the camera turns on when turn your car off the camera turns off after 60 seconds.
Parking mode
When your car is turned off and the camera is off as well some sensor I guess is still on in the camera that's sensitive to sudden shaking, so when someone knocks into your car the sensor will turn in the camera so it will record what's going on and will then turn off after 60 seconds or will continue to be on if another knock is detected.

Anything else?

How does the camera know to switch the mode? Speed from GPS? Or it knows when the engine gets turned off?

So it seems that my Roav Duo doesn’t do that. Turns off automatically after 5 minutes of being stopped, regardless if engine is running. Sounds like it does that from GPS. Then it only turns back on after a bump. Sounds like they’re relying on my slamming a door or something to get the thing to turn back on.

Does anyone have experience with a duel dashcam that also records the passengers inside?
In a 15 pass van, is the pic clear enough to see the back row?
Also with a 64gb SD card, how much video time before it loop records over old video (for ex. if I need to check video from 20 hours back)

you can reach 20 hours but then again the higher you set the quality of the video the less amount of videos you can store while the lower the quality the more hours you can store, and then again the bigger the SD card the more hours you can store.
