is this a recommendation? Or just a deal
(Do you own one yourself? What are your experiences? Etc)

Indeed also a great price.
I have one of these and 3 of the other ones.

Me personally in my personal car I rather not have a two-way one it's kind of big and bulky.
 But indeed an amazing peice.

I have a blackvue 650s-2 channel that won't keep the correct date/time. After googling it seems that there is a tiny battery that probably died.

Issue is that the battery needs to be soldered on and it's really small. Blackvue won't fix for less than $150 just to look.

Question 1 - anyone know of a repair shop that does soldering onto a small computer board in the NY area?

Question 2 - do I really need the blackvue or should I just buy a different cheaper dashcam? And if buy, which?

TIA

How long have you had it that the battery died?

Blackvue usually charges 50 for repair which includes shipping.

Maybe 2 years.

They said the 650 is discontinued and they would have to send it back to Korea and that'll be $150

They just replied with a cost of $100 plus over $25 for me to ship it to them.

So back to my original question, do you think its worth it to fix or just get a new one?
Anyone have the Anderson Roav Duo or the  Vava dual?
These cost the same as fixing the blackvue.

I have one of the Anker Roav Duo Dash cams.
Bought it back a year or two ago but it's still sitting in its box.
Never had a chance to play around with it, I'm happy with my small little dash cam from aukey so never bothered testing out this one.

any recommendations for a good micro SD card to go in a dashcam. I thought my cam broke but it turns out my SD was busted. apparently that can happen when using a regular card in a dashcam.
