Although I did not go, when I researched the permit process the Hungarian gov website asks for entrance location, some permit facilitators did not request this info, hence the mix-up.
I do know of a group of ppl that got thru routing thru Slovakia and then thru a smaller crossing.

PPL are having issues getting out of the Tzion now, as its past curfew, the local PD made an exception for those with tickets to retuning  tomorrow AM, not sure if local PD knows anything about airfare tickets, but it dosnt take much to make one and cancel.

Hungary has the largest outbreak of corona since the beginning of 2020. It's similar to that of NY of last spring, except the death ratios are higher per 1000 people.
Buying fake entry papers, violating the curfew that has been in place for many months and making fun of the local PD not being aware of DOT ticket rules is just lovely. The locals get a fine when they are out five minutes after the curfew.
