Delta Equipment Change from JFK to TLV
« on: April 28, 2014, 10:14:01 AM »
Delta will stop flying 747 to TLV starting October 25, 2014 and will fly with the 777-200.  Also, return flight from TLV will no longer depart 12:30am, will depart 11:45pm.

Delta.com shows the change. Is that not good enough for you?

Any idea if the DL Biz seat will be the same as the 747 has been, or will it shift to the format of the DL LHR flights?  The BE seat on the TLV flight is much better than the BE seat on the LHR/AMS/CDG flights...

The 777 BE seats are quite nice. IMO a bit more comfortable than the 764 or 76w.

It's a shame, I loved sitting upstairs. Although most of the Delta flights I've flown on that route have been pretty full so this seems like an odd move.
I want to think the reason they are doing this is because they want to phase in a second flight per day. But I have no source for that.

The 744 seat is far superior to the 777 herringbone.  It's far more private and has much better in-seat storage options. It's a real shame I too like the privacy of the upper deck.
