The GCs are shipped separately from their 'activation code' for security purposes. They may arrive up to a few days after the GCs.  If you don't get your activation code or they are delayed and you are in a hurry:
Call 1-866-357-7391, press 3 to speak to a CSR.

Recently they've sometimes been emailing activation codes. Also check your spam folder.


PSA:  VISA rebate cards may be an issue if used to purchase VCG's from Staples online. It seems to be YMMV.  With larger orders more likely to invite scrutiny.
In store they work fine.

Some people buy sale items at Staples and resell them online.  Staples employees also, from time to time, get discounts and buy/resell popular items.  It is well known.

After numerous orders which were paid for by staples gift cards (NOT rebate visa cards), I got a call today that they canceled one order because "gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards".
Although, not ten minutes later, I got all the ship confirmations.
Not sure what's happening.

I sure hope this doesn't get killed by people abusing it too heavily.  Its really nice to place gc orders here and there with staples gc.

ordered vgc from staples a  couple days ago along with some pens on my ink card and only the 1.29 for the pens r showin up on chase and not the gc. checked my order at staples online and the pens r ready to ship but the gcs r still proccesing shud i be worried?

I had a $414 refund on my cc and two weeks later it billed when they shipped it. don't call with questions!

I suppose if one paid with Staples gift cards, he would not want to bring attention to that by calling.

In my case, I ordered a gift card and another item in the same order. The initial authorization was for the full amount, but the final charges posted separately for each item as they shipped.
