Either way is fine. Usually people use them pretty soon after receiving them.

dunno.. Was thinking; reduces probability of someone stealing the numbers and it would be hard without the activation number. Unless they want to go through the extra hassle of calling mallcards to activate it.

in store register only allows 9 vs. online you can do 10 or multiple orders of 10 (beware staples might call you to verify)
online you have to activate them yourself when they come (but of course if you read the wiki you dont have to do each card separately)
online takes 2 weeks to come in mail vs in store.

I can't seem to activate in bulk. I could only do individually. On the bright side, I've been ordering VGCs every 4-5 days and they've been coming in within 4 days. My experience is totally opposite.

maybe you can post the receipt of your in store 10+ GC purchase,  because I claimed the same thing a while back and then I realized I made a mistake and it wasn't over 9 in each transaction, the manager had it in 2 separate transactions, so maybe you can kindly post your receipt? Thnx

Haha make that two of us. I just checked because I swear I bought that many. Ended up buying 5 that time and 5 another time. When did they cut down to less than 10? I swear I've purchased 10 or more in the past which is probably why I thought I did recently. I go through so many and it's hard to keep track.

the registers in staples can only do 9 GC's in 1 transaction, if you have a nice manager, he'll let you do multiple transactions, but it's YMMV.
There's no way to bulk activate them online, gotta do em all separately or the way the wiki says.
