BUMP, what about RBH in general ?
Consumer reports rates them about the same as Samsonite.

My second set of Samsonite hardside luggage broke (this time was the wheels)...

https://www.costco.com/samsonite-tech-2.0-2-piece-hardside-spinner-luggage-set.product.100477336.html

While Costco shouldn’t give me a problem with returning it (got it under a year ago), I need to find a better one.

Anyone here have any recommendations?

I was thinking of just going with whatever they're carrying in Costco now; they're the only store that won't leave me literally holding the bag if something goes wrong again.

Thanks

Thanks for that idea.
Though I hate making returns so I try to hit it on the first shot.

Read a bunch of reviews and made my choice from there.

Was just asking if someone had one and was happy with it, for them to recommend to me so I didn't have to waste time doing my own research.

I only travel with a suitcase a few times a year, but I have the Amazon basics luggage scale.

Nothing to fancy but it’s electric, cheap and it does the job.
I had it for a few years now and I’m very happy with it.

I highly recommend Lojel.com, esp. the Cubo line. It's a line of hardsided suitcases that open like a softsided case. This makes packing a lot of easier and is space saving. It costs a bit more than the average Samsonite, but it lasts forever and is far more practical.

I got 3 skyway mirage ultra lights. Its been 6 years. I fly to and fro israel with them about 4 times a year. They are in great shape. One got a rip on the bottom but it didn’t puncture the actual casing

Need a great carryon and backpack for professional work - 2-5 day trips with some pre-packaged meals and tallis+tefillin.

I've checked out Tumi and while a good company, I get the impression that they are more brand than value.
I've checked out higher end Travelpro VersaPack - they seem reliable.

What are the new breakthrough/new features to consider for carry-ons (basics: front pocket. pockets. Look premium. Expandable. Warranty and quality. )

How is the Briggs & Riley Or the Nomatic, or Sway, better? What do you recommend for carry-on?

Any recommendations on backpack criteria to consider would be appreciated as well.

Does anyone have a garment bag that is a carry on that they would recommend? Either with or without wheels.
Thank you.
